This is the latest news about South Korea Plane Crash. On December 28, 2024, a horrible airplane crash occurred at South Korea’s Muan International Airport, claiming the lives of at least 120 people. A Boeing 737-800, Jeju Air flight 7C2216, faced a landing gear failure when it was travelling from Bangkok, Thailand, to South Korea, reportedly due to a bird strike. The plane skidded off the runway, hit a concrete fence, and due to this, caught fire during its 2nd attempt to land.

According to sources, the flight has 181 passengers onboard, including 6 crew members. Most of the passengers of this flight were South Koreans, and only 2 Thai nationals were among them. To handle this crisis and support affected families, Choi Sang-mok, the South Korean acting president, directed all available resources.
