Recently Salman Agha shared Man of the Match Award with Saim Ayub. Salman Agha the famous Pakistani cricket player and all-rounder, played a very important role in Pakistan’s victory over South Africa in the first ODI, but in a heartwarming gesture, he handed over his award, which was “Man of the Match,” to a young opener, Saim Ayub for his brilliant innings of 109 runs.
The chase of 240 runs at Paarl was not an easy nut to crack for Pakistan. South Africa has set this target with Heinrich Klaasen’s 86 runs and two important partnerships with Aiden Markram and Marco Jansen. Agha’s four-wicket haul had been much more important in the middle overs because, through his bowling, he dismantled the South African lower order.

Ayub’s magnificent innings of 109 runs on 112 balls played an important role in Pakistan’s victory. While Agha’s innings of 82 runs seconded the victory of Pakistan.
While Agha was nominated as the “Man of the Match” due to his all-round performance, he won the hearts of Pakistani people by giving the award to Saim Ayub.
In praising of Ayub, Agha said that, “If he hadn’t played like that, we wouldn’t have won.” Agha’s act of sharing “Man of the Match” award to Saim Ayub was also appreciated by Pakistan’s captain, Muhammad Rizwan.
