This is the latest news about Punjab Honhar Laptop Scholarship. On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the launch of the “Honhaar Scholarship Programme,” which will provide laptops to deserving students starting in January 2025 so they won’t have any obstacles when pursuing higher education. Brilliant students will be able to gain admission to prestigious public and private universities through the “Honhaar Scholarship Program.”
“Outstanding students will now be able to get admission in LUMS, FAST, and other public and private universities and medical colleges, which was previously a distant dream for them,” the chief minister stated during the program’s opening ceremony today.
Maryam Nawaz expressed her desire to see young people holding books rather than shells, stones, and bullets. She added that a student’s degree is useless if he cannot speak politely and that a student sitting at D-Chowk does not look good. The government will not permit students to participate in violent protests, she added.
She claimed that she never stops thinking about how to help the students. Additionally, she stated that 60% of the scholarships were awarded to girls, with 12,000 going to boys and 18,000 to girls out of a total of 30,000 scholarships.

The CM clarified that all scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, and no student may file a complaint alleging that merit has been violated. “The government will not discriminate on the basis of political affiliation, regardless of whether you support the PPP, PML-N, or PTI,” she stated. She claimed that when appointing DCs, Commissioners, and Secretaries to various government departments, the Punjabi government has always made sure that the candidates are qualified.
Speaking about the electric bike program, Maryam Nawaz stated that 20,000 more e-bikes are planned and that 10,000 e-bikes have already been delivered to applicants. According to her, the government is dedicated to empowering young people. She went on to say that the Punjabi government was working to improve the quality of the curriculum and education.
According to the CM, we are the luckiest nation because young people make up 65% of the population. According to her, the government is developing Nawaz Internet City in Lahore, which will house campuses of prominent universities.
Speaking about the difficulties with unemployment, the CM stated that she wished to examine the brain drain. The government wanted to give students interest-free loans so they could start businesses in Pakistan after completing their education, she added, adding that the country is rich in resources, minerals, and young people. She maintained that scholarships were the rightful property of exceptional students and not a gesture of goodwill on the part of the government.
