According to official and industrial sources, Mogas will settle at the new price of Rs257.37 per litre after an estimated increase in petrol prices of Rs1.24 per litre. The current price of a litre of petrol is Rs256.13.
In a similar vein, the price of diesel is expected to increase by Rs4.49 per litre to Rs265.44 per litre. Kerosene oil and LDO are predicted to see price increases of Rs 5.93 and Rs 5.05 per litre, respectively.
The federal government raised the price of petrol by Rs3.47 per litre until January 31 in a notification issued on January 15. The Finance Division’s announcement stated that the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) had gone up by Rs2.61, from Rs258.34 to Rs260.95 per litre.
