This is the latest news about Pakistan Gold Reserves. Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, the Punjab Minister for Minerals, has declared that 2.8 million tons of gold, worth between Rs600 and Rs700 billion on the international market, have been found in a 32-kilometer-wide area of Attock. The disclosure coincides with the Punjab government’s efforts to verify the reserves with the Pakistani Geological Survey.

Gorchani told an Urdu daily that employing Nespak and other companies would be necessary for additional confirmation of the reserves’ worth. He went on to say that an international advertising campaign would be used to draw bidders to the auction of the gold deposits, which would take place next month.

According to the minister, an auction committee has already been formed, with the Attock deputy commissioner serving as its chair. The rules for the auction procedure will be brought to the Punjab cabinet’s attention for approval at its upcoming meeting.

The Punjab government implemented Section 144 to stop additional theft after the minister brought attention to instances of illicit gold extraction in the region. There have been no recent reports of illegal activity, so the situation is now under control.
