Nearly two years after withdrawing from the spotlight after being found guilty of drunk driving, South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron was discovered dead at her Seoul home on Sunday. She was 24 years old.
Authorities claim that a friend found Kim’s body. According to a police official who spoke to CNN, there were no indications of foul play, and investigators are looking into how she died.
Kim started out as a child actor and became well-known for her portrayal of a girl left at an orphanage in the 2009 film “A Brand New Life,” which included an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.
She went on to star in a number of movies and television shows, including the action hit “The Man from Nowhere” in 2010, the mystery thriller “The Neighbors” in 2012, and the drama “A Girl at My Door” in 2014.

However, since April 2023, Kim’s career had been on hold after she was found guilty of driving under the influence by a Seoul court after she crashed her car in the South Korean capital a year earlier. Kim was fined about $14,000 but was spared jail time. Her most recent known role was in the 2023 Korean drama “Bloodhounds” on Netflix. The actor’s January photo, which is the last post on Kim’s Instagram account, has received over 205,000 likes. The account has disabled comments.
